Patty Cheng is loved by the kids for the warmth and respect she offers them and by the parents for her cheerful support, understanding, and wonderful parenting tips.
Patty has directed our preschool since 1986 after earning a degree in Sociology from the University of Washington. Through continuing education, she builds on her knowledge of early childhood education. She teaches our Imagineer’s and Inventor’s classes.
Patty has two children and was formerly a participating parent at a cooperative preschool. Patty’s co-op experience, coupled with her education, confirmed her belief in the benefits cooperative preschool provide to both parents and children through education and building community.
Jessica has been a co-op preschool teacher for four years, a co-op preschool parent for six years, and an elementary school teacher of grades K-3 for six years. She completed her undergraduate degree at The Evergreen State College, and then received her Teaching Certificate and Master of Arts in Education at Antioch University, Seattle. She teaches our two youngest classes – the Adventurers and our Discoverers.
Jessica loves working with young children and their parents. She is a strong believer in the power of co-op preschools to build community, strengthen families, and support social, creative, and cognitive growth in children.
Jessica lives in Shoreline with her husband Mark and their two daughters.
