Parent Education Meetings

SCP hosts or helps bring in guest lecturers throughout the school year. Our Parent Education Meetings are a great opportunity for the community to learn together and exchange ideas. Here are some examples of past presentations at our preschool.

How Much Is Too Much? And How To Tell, presented by Connie Dawson
In the course of loving and structuring children, it’s sometimes hard to know if what we do, intending to be helpful, is TRULY helping. There’s a way to tell what is too much and what is enough. Enough stuff that costs money. Enough attention and care. Enough limits and expectations. We practiced using the Test of Four, which can be your guide to knowing when to say YES and NO confidently. For more info, check out Dr. Dawson’s books: Growing Up Again and How Much Is Enough?

Raising Environmentally Conscious Kids, presented by Gina Diamond
